Cuban Fish & Chips

I was honored to be chosen by my friend Natasha from 5 Star Foodie Culinary Adventures to be one of 10 bloggers to participate in her 5 Star Makeover Summer Special.

The theme of the event was to remake a classic dish.  Perfect from me a card-carrying deconstructor or reimaginer of food.  For some time, I have been toying with the concept of making a Cuban Fish & Chips dish with some of the ingredients we use in our cooking.  Click on the link to see the finished product...

That's it for now...till we exchange a few words again...Peace!

  24. Definately 5 Star, as are all of the dishes you reconstruct. I can see you leaving us someday to cater for the rich and famous ;D
It's always such a pleasure to visit you and see what you're "building" in the kitchen. Hey, maybe you should put together a cookbook:"Deconstructed and Reconstructed". You always do such a beatiful plate presentation!

  25. Lazaro, I am so impressed by your Cuban twist on fish and chips. How creative! I'm also fascinated by your use of boniato to make the chips, which I've never heard of. I always learn something new here :)

    BTW, love the new layout!

  28. I don't have great experience with the original fish and chips (the British one, didn't know there was a Cuban version) but this creation of yours make me want to give it a 2nd chance. Looks beautiful.
