Broccoli, Roasted Garlic, & Mozzarella Pizza

It’s always a good day when I can collaborate with my uber-talented friend Natalie.

Last week we were discussing about folks who have trouble with acid in their foods. My lovely wife, for example, struggles with too much acid in foods.

I love my salt & acid.  Then again I am a salty and acidic bastard.

Now, the Lawyer and Natie, do not do well with acidic foods, because they are nice and sweet.

Indeed then, for all you sweet people out there, that struggle with this condition, this one’s for you.

Here’s a look behind the curtain at the creative process between cooks…

Laz – How about broccoli and cheese?  If you like it in a soup, you’ll love it on a pizza.

Natie – Nice, we should add roasted garlic in there.

Laz – Should we puree it in the broccoli puree, or shave it thin as a topping.

Natie – It would add depth of flavor to the puree.

Laz – You certainly are the brains of this operation.  What about cheese?

Natie – I love mozzarella.  Lots and lots.

Laz – Cause you’re cheesy.

Natie – That’s me!  The more cheese the better.

Laz – We can use fresh and shredded mozzarella, make it super cheesy.

Natie – Now we're getting somewhere.

Enjoy...

  8. Now that's what I call cheesy with these bubbly brown craters. Great idea for my cousin who's allergic to tomatoes...

  11. I am a very sour personality... so your little dialogue appealed to me mightily. So does that pizza... I am a big lover of broccoli and believe it has healing properties... with cheese... probably the secret of the fountain of youth... well done.
